Forty-five years, two actors, imagination and plenty of energy!

Family Stages began in 1980 when Steve and Elise began writing and performing their own shows. First came The Wizard of Oz. People asked, “How can you do that show with only two actors?” The answer was simple. Elise played Dorothy and Steve played everyone else! In Peter Pan, Elise was busier playing Smee the Pirate, Tiger Lily, Peter Pan and Wendy.

Through the years we have evened out the role assignments. And now in the current production our actors share the load. Actor A plays, The Sorceress, Aladdin’s Mom, Jane the Genie and the Princess. Actor B plays, Aladdin, The Sultan, The Servant Abdul, Mr. Green Genie and narrates. Costumes fly fast and furiously and so do the laughs!
